Join us on September 25th in Arlington, VA for a day of ElliptiGO socializing and riding on local roads and paved bike trails around Pentagon City and Crystal City, and along the Potomac River.

Group ride: All levels welcome; no rider left behind!! The group will have a lead GO and a sweep GO. This is a self-supported ride. Please bring water, extra tube, tools and make sure your GO is ready to ride.
Rentals: Participants must provide their own ElliptiGO/bike or make their own arrangements to borrow or rent one. Rentals will not be provided or coordinated by GERC.

9:45AM-12:30PM: 26.6 and 12-mile ride options. We’ll start at the parking lot, then ride through local roads in Pentagon City and Crystal City, VA to connect to the Mt. Vernon Trail along the Potomac River. We will continue through Alexandria, VA to Jones Point Park on the Potomac River and under the Wilson Bridge. Then, we’ll backtrack on the Mt. Vernon Trail to connect to Four Mile Run Trail through Shirlington, VA. Next, we’ll connect with the WO&D Trail to Custis Trail east to Rosslyn, VA and reconnect with Mt. Vernon Trail at Roosevelt Island. Finally, we’ll continue southeast along the Potomac River back to Crystal City.
All trails are paved. Bathrooms are available along the route, and we’ll have stopping points to regroup and take photos. Total elevation gain for the 26.6-mile route is 820 feet. The shorter 12- mile option goes from Pentagon City to Jones Point and back and is virtually flat.

In addition, participants may register as part of Team Mid Atlantic ElliptiGO for the awesome car-free 20 mile DC Bike Ride on Saturday morning. It’s a great opportunity to ride the streets and see the sights of DC! Details and registration here.
We also plan to gather for dinner Saturday evening in the Crystal City area.
Out-of-towners looking for a nearby place to stay Saturday night might consider the Crown Plaza Hotel in Crystal City.
