32-mile ride: This is a flat ride north, along the coast, from Huntington Beach to Long Beach and back. We start out on PCH and ride into Seal Beach. Then we’ll follow Alamitos Bay up and over the Bridge into Naples. We meander around the Bay and crossing over a second bridge into Belmont Shores onto Bayshore Drive. Then we do an out and back on the Alamitos Bay Peninsula. We jump on the Shoreline Beach Bike Path and get to gaze at the coast for about 3 miles before we hit the Long Beach Shoreline Marina. We will do an out and back on the Long Beach Shoreline Peninsula while catching a distant view of the Queen Mary, across the Los Angeles River. We’ll circle around the LB Shoreline Aquatic Park with a glimpse of Lion’s Lighthouse. We will jump on the Big Queens Way Bridge via the Bike Path, cross over the Los Angeles River into Harry Bridges Memorial Park and stop at the Beautiful Queen Mary. Finally we will head back to Huntington Beach. We will stop several (6-8) times along the way to take some awesome photos and to re-group.
25 – 28 mile option:: We ride Alamitos Bay Peninsula and Long Beach Shoreline Peninsula twice. So you can either ride both peninsulas once for about 28 miles; Or skip both peninsulas and ride about 25 miles.
