9:00-9:30AM: Riders gather at our meet-up location:

Alameda Seaplane Lagoon Ferry Terminal
Alameda,CA 94501

Directions to start location: here

The Alameda Seaplane Ferry Terminal has a large, free parking lot.

9:30AM-12:30PM: 23.7 mile group ride.

The route will loop around and criss-cross the island city of Alameda. The speed limit on the entire island is 25 MPH. It has wide streets with bike lanes, many of them separated from automobile traffic. The entire course is 23.6 miles in length and has only 169 feet of elevation gain. At 10.7 miles, the route returns to the starting point. Those who are tired and wish to opt out may do so here. Others may take a brief break to add or shed clothing before we resume our ride. Alameda is known for its numerous homes built in the Victorian style during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. We will stop for photos at some of the more picturesque locations. As this ride will take place two days before Halloween, we are encouraging everyone to come in costume!

Route details: here

1:00-2:00pm: Post-ride lunch at:

Almanac Beer Co.
651 W Tower Ave
Alameda CA 94501

Our lunch spot is a short distance from the ferry terminal on a protected bike path. It has outdoor, covered patio seating where we may sit with our GOs. Almanac does not have its own restaurant. Instead, it allows several food trucks to park on its property and serve meals to their customers.
