Details of August: GO Easy
Anticipating September’s Team Tournament, you can enjoy some relaxing days off or fine tune your fitness for the Team Tournament. August’s GOventure provides five simple month-long points-earning riding opportunities. You also have the opportunity for additional points with reflective hashtag posts.
Points from each riding category may be combined in any way to earn a maximum of 150 riding points:
- 3 points for every 15 miles cumulative distance.
- 3 points for every 1000 feet cumulative elevation gain.
- 5 points for every 5 days ridden.
- 10 points for each single ride over 20 miles.
- 10 points for each single ride over 1500 feet.
Note: a minimum of 2 miles are needed to count as a day of riding.
Hashtag posts. You may earn an additional 5 points for each week in which you do the appropriate hashtag post with a photo. During any ride take a photo that’s your interpretation of the weekly theme, add it to your Strava post, and include the weekly hashtag (e.g. “hope”) in your ride title. What symbolizes #honor, #strength or #community for you? You’re welcome to include additional thoughts in the Strava description field.
#hope: 1 – 7 Aug
#strength: 8 – 14 Aug
#community: 15 – 21 Aug
#honor: 22 – 28 Aug
Properly measured trainer rides are permitted, but will be credited
with no elevation. Credit for manual entries (no GPS track outdoors, no speed sensor indoors) is limited to 5 miles per day.
