Join ElliptiGO riders of all levels from across the country for a weekend of riding, socializing and FUN! (See who will be there!)
Choose 1 of 3 routes each day depending on how you’re feeling; no rider left behind!! Middle distance & short distance routes will have a lead GO & a sweep GO. The Advanced, long route will be self-supported. All routes are either out & back or a loop so we start & end at the same location.
Required and optional steps:
1. (required). Pre-registration is required. Registration fee is $35 for 2020 Global ElliptiGO Riders Club members. If you do not choose to become a full-year Club member, you can register for the Winter Classic for $60, which includes a one-month Club membership. Register for the Winter Classic here: registration for the 2020 Winter Classic is closed.
2. (optional). There will be a limited number of ElliptiGOs available for rent. To reserve a GO, please send an email to email@example.com.
3. (optional). The host hotels are the Sleep Inn and Hampton Inn and Suites, North Scottsdale. To reserve a room, see additional details here.

6:00-8:30AM – Breakfast on your own. Host hotels include a complimentary hot breakfast with your room reservation beginning at 6AM. There are many other local breakfast options nearby & also at our meet up location.
8:30-9:00AM (7:30 for Advanced Route/Bartlett Lake) – Event participants/riders begin gathering at our ride meet up location:

8:00AM-12:30PM: Group #1 (Longer Distance/ADVANCED Route) leaves Big Earl’s promptly at 8:00AM
“Bartlett Lake” out & back: 45 miles / 4500 feet of elevation gain / lots of climbing – this is a physically challenging ride & will be self-supported without a lead or sweep GO! Choose this beautiful ride if you’re an experienced, conditioned climber looking for a challenge! Please plan to arrive back at Big Earl’s by 12:30PM for lunch.
9:30AM-12:30PM: Group #2 (Middle Distance/Intermediate Route) leaves Big Earl’s at 9:30AM
“Seven Springs” out & back: 25 miles / 2300 feet elevation gain / moderate climbing, rolling hills & a few short steeper hills in the 4 miles before the turn around point. Long, beautiful descent on the way back!
9:30AM-12:30PM: Group #3 (Shorter Distance/Casual Pace) leaves Big Earl’s at 9:30AM
“Lone Mountain/Legend Trail” loop: 19 miles / 950 feet elevation gain / low grade incline first 4-5 miles. More stops to rest along the way and we’ll take our time!
(**there will also be a shorter version without the initial climb that will start at the “sundial” at 10AM and will join up with this group. That route will be 15 miles / 715 feet elevation gain)
12:30-2:30PM – Lunch & socializing on the back patio at BIG EARL’s (Guests of participants welcome)

APACHE WASH TRAILHEAD 1600 East Sonoran Desert Drive, Phoenix, AZ 85085
(The trailhead has many hiking & biking paths for your family & friends to enjoy while you’re out riding with the group)
10:30AM-12:00PM – Group Rally Rides – (flatter parkway, no intersecting roads, panoramic desert views)
We’ll be riding in an 8-mile loop so you can GO as much or as little as you like. There are also paved bike paths through the desert if you prefer to stay off the road. We will also have printed maps and Strava routes for two non-paved trail rides best suited for MSUBs/RSUBs. Stop to take photos; do one or several loops, on the road, paved bike paths, or unpaved trails…it’s up to you! Just have fun and enjoy the ride with this amazing group of people!!
12:30-2:30PM – Tailgate Party – Bring your own lawn chairs if local or driving in….extras if you can for our out of town guests. Hosted lunch provided (Streets of New York pizza, cookies, non-alcoholic beverages)
*NOTE: Per the permit with the City of Phoenix / Sonoran Desert Preserve, alcohol is NOT allowed at the trailhead – sorry! (Guests of participants are welcome)
3:00PM – Farewell for all of those traveling & driving home on Sunday
6:00-8:00PM – Casual dinner for locals and all those not traveling home until Monday:

(Guests of participants are welcome) A convenient walk across the parking lot from the host hotels, enjoy amazing fresh fish tacos (Maui style) and other fresh menu items. Coconuts is very casual so work out attire, jeans or even your PJ’s are all acceptable! They also have beer & wine and at least one good IPA on tap!
NOTE: Food & drinks will be provided at the Meet & Greet on Friday and lunch at the Tailgate Party on Sunday.
Breakfast daily, Saturday lunch, and dinners are the responsibility of the participants & attendees. To ensure we have adequate support, enough space, food & servers to accommodate our group at the various activities, we will send out an RSVP request at the beginning of January to all registered participants.
**If you don’t have a vehicle for the weekend, it is your responsibility to pair up with someone for transportation to the ride locations & back to the hotel both days.
